there is One GodWe believe that there is only one God who created the heavens and the Earth. God revealed Himself as our Father, in His Son Jesus Christ, and as the Holy Spirit. Jesus Christ is God manifested in flesh, and in Him, dwells the fullness of the Godhead bodily (Deuteronomy 6:4;Ephesians 4:4-6; Colossians 2:9; I Timothy 3:16).

Baptism in jesus' nameWe believe in water baptism by immersion in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins (Romans 6:3-6; Acts 2:38).
The gift of the holy ghostWe believe in receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in other tongues (Acts 2:38, Acts 2:4, Acts 8:14-17).

We believe the plan of Salvation (repentance, baptism in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost) helps us live a life pleasing to God and is a necessary part of our walk with Him (Acts 2:38, Acts 4:12, Romans 3:23-25).

Desoto life kidzDesoto Life Kidz is dedicated to “Connecting Kidz To Christ.” Every Sunday and Wednesday, we learn about God and His love through songs, games, and crafts. Look at our events calendar for our extra activities like Fall fests, bowling nights, and family days at the park! |

Revolution YouthRevolution Youth is a place for students to grow and connect to the kingdom of God while navigating the obstacles of an ever changing world without bowing to peer pressure and teen culture.

other ministriesDesoto Life has something for the whole family including Connect Groups each Wednesday night at 7:00pm, an adult Sunday School class, and quarterly Family Day activities. We also offer individual or small group Bible Studies to those who are interested.

Meet Our Pastor
Pastor
Shannon & Whitni Thornhill
Pastor Shannon felt a call to the ministry in his teens and has since served in many roles of ministry including the following: assistant pastor, evangelist, and pastor. He felt the call to church planting and set out to build a church in Hernando, MS along with his wife Whitni. Whitni has a passion for teaching and music and received her bachelor's degree in music from Texas Bible College. Along with her role as pastor's wife, she teaches middle school at DeSoto Christian Academy. Together they have five beautiful children, Blakely, Wesson, Skylar, Holland, and Lawson.
